75 people across Deloitte offices in the Channel Islands have received promotions – including 40 in Jersey.
Jonathan Wiseman, who has 19 years of experience in audit and assurance services, has been made an Associate Partner in Audit, after joining Deloitte as a Director from London in 2022.
Also promoted in Jersey are Hastings Chakanyuka in Audit and Rupert Lee in Tax who have both been made Director.
Mr Chakanyuka started his career with Deloitte in Zimbabwe as an Audit Trainee in 2011. After qualifying through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) in 2015, he briefly served in the Deloitte Las Vegas office before transitioning to Jersey as an Assistant Manager in 2016.
Mr Lee joined Deloitte as an Associate Director in 2019 and has 13 years of tax experience working in Jersey and London.
In Audit, Firas Eid and Denis Nyamwaro in Jersey and have been promoted to Senior Manager, alongside Chris Allo in the Jersey Tax team.
Additionally, in the Jersey Audit team, Josephine Coleman, Omoladun Adebayo, Muhammad Mohsin Hafiz, Temiloluwa Sholola, Oluwasegun Oyewumi and Max Renouf-Watkins have also risen to Manager.
Promotions to Manager also include Sarah Webster in the Jersey Advisory team.
The Assistant Manager promotions at Deloitte include three tiers. In the Audit team, 12 have been promoted to Assistant Manager Level-3 and the Advisory team has seen one promotion to this tier. 11 have been promoted to Assistant Manager Level-1 across both Jersey and Guernsey. There have been two promotions to Assistant Manager in the Tax team.
Six promotions were made to Senior Associate in the Audit team and one to Senior Associate Level-2 in Advisory.
Also, in the BrightStart school leaver programme, eight Audit trainees have risen to Level-3 and ten have been promoted to BrightStart Level-2. In the Advisory department, there was one promotion to BrightStart Level-3 and one promotion to BrightStart Level-2.
Its part of a raft of promotions across Deloitte's offices in the Channel Islands and Gibraltar. 103 were promoted overall, with 35 individuals were promoted in Guernsey.
Nine staff were promoted in Gibraltar and 19 in the Isle of Man.
Marc Cleeve, People and Purpose Partner, congratulated all those who had been promoted.
