Jersey last week welcomed the Thai Ambassador for his first ever visit to the island as part of a bid to enhance the links between the two jurisidictions.
His Excellency Mr Pisanu Suvanajata visited the island during the weekend of Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May.
His Excellency also visited the Maritime Museum to learn more about Jersey’s seafaring history as well as paying a timely visit to the Occupation Tapestry Gallery.
The Government said the visit focused “on different ways to grow the links between Jersey and Thailand more broadly” and also “gave an opportunity for consular services to be provided to Jersey’s Thai community”, which the recent census showed to be over 250.
