The Aztec Group is the headline sponsor of the annual talent event for De La Salle College, known as ‘The WOW Factor'.
It takes place on Thursday 13 February 2014, and was originally founded by two A-level students. It is now in its sixth year.
The WOW Factor live final comprises of ten acts who perform one piece for the audience vote. The top three acts go on to perform a second piece to a panel of six local judges. This year’s judges are John Gavey, Aztec Group, Sadie Rennard, Constable of St Saviour, Hannah Jacques , DJ and producer, Tessa Coleman, actress and writer, Charlie McArdle, BBC Jersey and Tim Evans, Musical Director.
Aztec Group’s Chief Operating Officer John Gavey said: "We are happy to be supporting a local community event raising funds for the school’s newly formed Creative Arts Programme (CAP) with a retiring collection in aid of Age Concern who mark their 25th anniversary this year. The students put a great deal of time and effort into rehearsing their acts and I’m very much looking forward to sitting on the judging panel. At the Aztec Group we run our own Audition Days every summer to see if students have the ‘WOW’ factor to join us. We are always on the prowl for bright and exceptional talent and so it’s great to be working with De La Salle College."
