New networking event to lead up to business awards

Thursday 13 March 2014

Local companies are being invited to take part in a business networking event in June as part of the run-up to this year's Awards for Enterprise.

Jersey Business, which provides free, independent, confidential advice and support to the business community, is offering 30 stands at the two-day event in Liberty Wharf on 10 and 12 June at a cost of £450 for each exhibitor.

There will also be a presentation area which will feature workshops, panels and brief seminars from experts in various fields such as health in the workplace, social media, HR, planning and building, and many other useful subjects. Exhibitors will also be offered the opportunity to have slot to give a short talk about their business.

The organisers are hoping to attract a diverse selection of companies from all sectors looking to increase awareness and sales. The event will offer exhibitors the opportunity to discover service providers and freelancers as well learn about products and services that can take their business to the next level.

Exhibitors are expected to range from tradesmen to finance to insurance and office services. The first Jersey Business B2B held in April last year, attracted 25 companies ranging from financial services, well being companies, marketing agencies, cleaning companies, recruitment, and office support services.

Jersey Business Chief Executive, Andy Cook, commented: "We hope this two-day event will be a valuable opportunity for local businesses to get in contact with both potential customers and suppliers. Sometimes just making the right contact can open up a lot of business, so we believe that these type of events will be a very useful addition to the run-up to the main Awards for Enterprise".
