Steve Smith @ Bohemia has been listed as the best restaurant in Jersey and maintained its glowing score of seven in the Waitrose Good Food Guide 2017.
Bohemia’s score of seven makes it the highest rated Michelin-starred restaurant in Jersey and the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to be featured in the guide’s top 25 restaurants. The list recognises the best talent throughout the country and is highly regarded by chefs and diners.
Bohemia has been rated above other Michelin star restaurants in the UK such as The Waterside Inn and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. To qualify for a score of seven n the guide, restaurants must demonstrate a ‘high level of ambition and individuality, attention to the smallest detail, accurate and vibrant dishes.’
Head Chef Steve Smith said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded a score of seven in the Waitrose Good Food Guide 2017. Being listed in the top 25 is a huge achievement, especially as we have earned this score through editor appraisal and customer feedback and opinions. That is what makes the award that much more significant when you know it’s come from customers.”
To qualify for the awards, restaurants need to be independently run and offer regional or local produce. The awards are voted for by the public who submit nominations for their favourite restaurants.
Bohemia is the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to be listed in The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants and is ranked at number 49. Most recently Bohemia was also listed in Square Meal's Top 100 Best Restaurants 2016.
