C5 Alliance Limited (C5) has been awarded the contract to supply Andium Homes with the implementation and support of a hosted IT infrastructure over the next four years.
Andium Homes chose C5 over a number of off-Island businesses and other local suppliers looking to attain the contract - last week Bailiwick Express revealed that more than half of States IT contracts were going to non-Jersey firms.
Following a detailed review of Andium Homes’ requirements, C5 assessed various bespoke options for providing a secure and resilient environment that would meet Andium Homes’ specific needs.
C5 proposed a secure cloud-based solution, which implements Microsoft Office 365 and Azure, as well as an ongoing support service from C5’s Managed Services Division. Andium Homes selected this solution following its incorporation, as it allows the new company to manage its IT infrastructure independent of the States of Jersey.
Aonghus Fraser, Group Chief Technology Officer at C5 Alliance, said: “We are delighted to support Andium Homes by providing them with a robust and flexible cloud-based solution for their work in delivering affordable housing for the local community. The capabilities that cloud technologies can now offer allow organisations to continuously improve their productivity and other aspects of their business.
"Ultimately this has an overall positive impact on their customer service and resulting satisfaction, so the transition to the cloud is becoming a natural step for many businesses! C5 is proud to be only provider in the Channel Islands that can offer 24x7x365 support for our clients, and our local Managed Services division is aligned with our strategy to provide best in class support services in both Jersey and Guernsey. We are confident that there will be a noticeable difference as the business leverages the benefits of the new platform.”
Steve Parlby, Head of IS at Andium Homes, added: “We are extremely pleased to be working with C5 Alliance on the delivery of this exciting project that will significantly improve the services we deliver to our clients, and at the same time, bring about many efficiencies across all areas of the business.
"The Microsoft Azure cloud environment will host all of Andium Homes’ IT systems and infrastructure, and will be the key enabler to become completely IT independent. Other positive benefits that will be delivered as part of the implementation include the ability for colleagues and contractors to connect remotely to the new Housing Management and Finance system for mobile working. Clients will also be able to connect via a portal to access services and key information, such as rent statements.”
