Carey Olsen's trusts and private wealth practice in the Channel Islands has been re-accredited as a Platinum Employer Partner by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
STEP's Employer Partnership Programme is designed as a benchmark for businesses in the trusts and estates industry and signals a firm's investment in employees' professional development and for providing a nurturing work environment.
Carey Olsen was the first offshore law firm accredited a Platinum Employer Partner in 2016 – it also maintained the standard in 2019 as part of STEP's three-year review cycle.
Carey Olsen has also demonstrated that performance management is a continual process and employees are recognised and rewarded for their efforts. Counsel Laila Arstall, in conjunction with the firm's HR department, led the re-accreditation process on behalf of the firm.

Russell Clark, Managing Partner and Head of Carey Olsen's trusts and private wealth group in Guernsey, said: "The STEP Employer Partnership Programme is the go-to industry accreditation in the fiduciary space for demonstrating an employer's support and commitment to its staff and their professional development, and we're over the moon to have once more achieved the highest accreditation standard available.
“As a firm, we place an emphasis on training, guidance and supervision, and going through this programme to ensure we maintain the necessary standards in these areas across our Guernsey and Jersey trusts and private wealth teams is always a very worthwhile exercise."
