CCA Galleries International Get ‘Conran Makeover’

Thursday 12 November 2015

Following the recent launch of Paint by Conran in the Channel Islands, Jersey’s CCA Galleries International has received a makeover, with two rooms in the Gallery being repainted in Fallen Fruit and Broken Heather from Paint by Conran, using their new range of paints.

The launch event saw a cross section of industry and local decorators and interior designers come together to explore the use of colour in homes.

Industry experts including Sophie Robinson, Interior Designer and TV Presenter, Lauren Sizeland, Head of Business Development and Licensing at Victoria and Albert Museum and Simone Barker, Freelance Colour Consultant and Writer also held talks for private clients on how to integrate colour and design in homes.

CCA Galleries International is an iconic building, situated in the Royal Court Chambers, Jersey’s historic former legal chambers. The Gallery which was opened in June 2013 by ‘Godfather of Pop Art’, Sir Peter Blake showcases the very best of contemporary British art including paintings, limited edition prints and sculpture.

Liz Purgal, Gallery Manager at CCA Galleries International, said: “We’re very pleased with our freshly painted rooms as the new colours will complement our artwork. Feedback on the colour schemes and the quality of the paint has been extremely positive, even the decorators were impressed! Paint by Conran have also kindly offered to change the colours of the rooms for us every six months, so next year they will look very different. I think we may choose Dark Lovage paint next time as it will make an excellent contrast!”

David Roberts, Chairman of Master Painters, said: “Our group has been making paints since 1892 and they are the very best in technical performance combined with Sir Terence Conrans beautiful colours. We are delighted to launch our range in the Channel Islands and the products will be available at Morton & Morton and Normans Trade Centre from January.”
