Channel TV is moving to the Waterfront.
The station – which celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2012 – is heading to a new set of premises at Castle Quay.
ITV Channel Television say that they hope to move into a new, modern newsroom and studio by summer 2015, and that the move is “part of a significant investment in the news service”.
Karen Rankine, Managing Director at ITV Channel, said: “I am delighted to be announcing the move to our new offices on St Helier’s Waterfront, which will deliver considerable benefits for colleagues and for ITV viewers.
“The investment demonstrates our long term commitment to public service broadcasting across the Channel Islands."
ITV Channel’s entire Jersey team of around 40 staff will be relocating to the new building.
The new headquarters will house all of ITV Channel’s Jersey-based news and production facilities, and the station will also retain its additional studio and newsroom facility in Guernsey. The modern infrastructure at Castle Quay will also include a new satellite truck that will be deployed later this year and will be used for live on-location broadcasts across the islands.
ITV Channel has occupied its current site at La Pouquelaye since 1988. The station has served the Channel Islands region since 1962.
ITV brought Channel TV in late 2011 in a deal estimated to be worth more than £10 million.
