The Liberation Group is celebrating taking home three awards at the awards considered to be the 'Oscars of the pub world'.

Held in London with host Paddy McGuinness, the Publican Awards saw the 51-site company take home Best Accommodation Operator, Best Premium Food Offer and Best Managed Pub Company.

Jayson Perfect, Group Managing Director, Pubs and Inns, Liberation Group, said: "It's absolutely amazing, the team has worked extremely hard over the past couple of years. Walking away with three awards that we work so passionately hard for on a daily basis is phenomenal.

"Winning these prestigious accolades is such an honour and pays testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in the business - from the teams at our pubs, head offices, breweries and distribution centres. Hopefully our success will shine a light on this fabulous industry and the incredible career paths we offer, encouraging those with a passion for people and hospitality to give it a try."

Alice Bowyer, Head of Food, added: "We're very proud of the innovation we've shown despite all the challenges we've faced in the past couple of years. Our teams work tirelessly to create dishes that embody what we, as a company, are all about – quality, taste and bringing people together."

Publican Awards Ed Bedington commented: “The team at Liberation Group has done an amazing job across a range of categories and that’s reflected in their success. The Publican Awards are tough to win, both in the competition from other businesses and in the judging process itself. Liberation Group should be rightly proud of their achievements and celebrate that success with its teams and customers.”

It comes as the Liberation Group looks forward to reopening the Grouville-based Seymour Inn on 21 April following a revamp.

The Seymour Tower-facing pub's interior is being refreshed with a palette of blues and greys, statement wallpaper, glass ship light fittings and nautical touches, while the existing Captain’s bar will be updated with copper gantries and a bespoke timber-built back bar. A wooden and tiled floor is being laid throughout the newly opened revealed bar and restaurant area which will feature classic wooden furniture.

Operations Manager Steve Elson, said: “The pub is going to look amazing and we can’t wait to show it off to our incredibly loyal locals and visitors. Despite the changes the integrity of this beautiful building remains intact, as does our award-winning food and drink offering so it’s the same Seymour Inn…only better!”
