Channel Islands-founded finance company expands into UK

Monday 20 May 2024

A Channel Islands-founded financial services company is set to expand this week with the launch of its new offices in Southampton.

Cherry Godfrey will now offer personal finance, insurance and mortgage products to customers in Southampton and the surrounding areas.

This follows previous expansion to other locations in recent years, including the Isle of Wight in 2021.

Cherry Godfrey was founded in Guernsey in March 1993 by husband and wife David and Selena Cherry, née Godfrey.

Tanzy Cherry, COO at Cherry Godfrey, said: “No matter how much we grow, we will always maintain the traditional family values and dedication to our clients for which we are known, and we are looking forward to offering the same level of personal, face-to face service to the community and businesses in Southampton and the surrounding areas.

"Cherry Godfrey can address a real gap in the Southampton market where the ‘personal touch’ is sometimes lacking.

“We have an exciting opportunity ahead, and the team and I are looking forward to helping even more people meet their finance, insurance and mortgage needs all under one roof.”
