JCSC creates cyber security advisory group

Thursday 27 June 2024

Jersey Cyber Security Centre has created a group for organisations to exchange knowledge, best practice and discuss challenges.

Bringing together more than 20 local suppliers so far, the Cyber Suppliers Advisory Group (CSAG) will enable members to meet and discuss the industry in a confidential setting up to four times a year.

Membership to the advisory group is free and organisations do not have to be based entirely in Jersey to join, but must have a current local presence.

All meetings will be chaired by the JCSC.

Matt Palmer, Director of the JCSC, said: “Cyber security is complex, fast-moving, and vital to the island’s economy and safety.

"This means that we benefit from being able to draw on the knowledge we already have on-island.

“The CSAG is designed to bring together cyber security experts in a confidential and collaborative space.

"This will allow us to share intelligence and information amongst trusted colleagues, to help us better address some of the challenges facing the island."

Matt Derrien, Cyber Risk Officer at the JCSC, said: “The group will work on developing best practice guidelines for businesses and organisations.

"Islanders will be able to rely on this best practice, secure in the knowledge that it has been developed with input from experts."

Local organisations already members of the CSAG are:

  • BDO / C5
  • Black Arrow Cyber
  • Clarity
  • Cyber Tec Security
  • Defence Logic
  • Enso Solutions
