Elian has won a top industry award for its rebrand following the management buyout from Ogier.
The administration company won the best brand/rebrand award at the WealthBriefing GCC Region Awards 2015.
Showcasing ‘best of breed’ providers in the global private banking, wealth management and trusted advisor communities, the awards were designed to recognise companies, teams and individuals, who the prestigious panel of judges deemed to have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2015’.
Judges said they were most impressed that Elian used not only outside consultants for advice, but also staged a staff competition to find a new name.
"Having done so, it vigorously promoted the brand and it became far more visible, with website-hit evidence as proof. Its launch is a good example of how to adopt a new brand and forge an identity rapidly," said the judges.
It was also noted that [Elian’s] commitment to the wealth management sector extends to a role as an active STEP member, and in helping in the development of the DIFC’s will & probate registry rules.
Elian’s CEO, Paul Willing, said: "This win is testament to the hard work that the team has put in over the last 18 months, and to be recognised in this way is a real honour. The Elian brand has clear values, which are underpinned by a commitment to provide the highest level of client service. We had a strong launch campaign and pride ourselves on the great reputation and skills of our team."
ClearView Financial Media’s CEO, and publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, was first to extend his congratulations to all of the winners. He said: "The firms who triumphed in these awards are all worthy winners, and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations. These awards were judged solely on the basis of entrants’ submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which had to be answered focusing on the client experience, not quantitative performance metrics. That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature.
"These awards recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process - such that the awards truly reflect excellence in wealth management. I am optimistic that these annual awards will become one of the brightest highlights in the wealth management calendar."
