Entries wanted for Jersey awards

Friday 10 January 2014

Companies in Jersey are being urged to enter this year's Awards for Enterprise, which have become the premier event in the Island's business calendar.

The 2014 event has just been launched by the Minister for Economic Development, Senator Alan Maclean, with the awards evening itself coming on June 13th at the end of a week-long series of events designed to showcase the Island's businesses.

The Awards are coordinated by Jersey Business, and sponsored by a group of well known local companies including Condor Ferries, JT and Greenlight. Deadline for submissions is the 16th February.

Andy Cook, Chief Executive of Jersey Business said: “The Awards for Enterprise are very special and celebrate excellence among Island businesses and organisations, large and small.  Whilst winners and finalists take extreme pride in the recognition that they gain, almost all entrants will state that it is the process of reviewing and then articulating their success story that has inspired further development or improvement within their own organisation.”

For the first time, an 'open invitation' Entrants’ Evening will be held on Thursday 16 January at the Pomme D’Or Hotel at five pm, which will offer local businesses the opportunity to find out more about entering the Awards, what the judges are looking for, and how the process can benefit an organisation. There will also be the opportunity to talk to winners from 2013. Potential entrants can visit www.jerseybusiness.je for more information.
