Jersey Cancer Relief has appointed Pam Aubert as its first ever Chief Executive Officer in response to growing demand for its services.
Ms Aubert will be responsible for offering strategic, financial, and operational leadership while overseeing the day-to-day management of the charity's services.
Jersey Cancer Relief has been operated for the last 50 years by volunteers and a small administrative team.
However, in response to the growing demand for its services, the organisation identified the need for a CEO to steer it through the evolving landscape of cancer support.
Ms Aubert brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having dedicated eight years to cancer support at Macmillan Jersey. She is also an active member of the charitable sector, having served as the chair of the Jersey Charity Forum for over five years.
In addition, she has successfully completed the 'Leading Growth' program with Jersey Business, earned a Diploma in Fundraising, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Philanthropic Studies at Kent University.
"I am incredibly excited to have joined the Jersey Cancer Relief team," said Ms Aubert. "It is a tremendous opportunity to work with a long-established and respected local charity to support the development and delivery of their strategic aims and objectives."
Anne Pryke, Chair of Jersey Cancer Relief, added: "We are delighted to welcome Pam Aubert to the Jersey Cancer Relief team as Chief Executive Officer and look forward to seeing how her role will support the charity in going from strength to strength."
