First Names Group appoints group business development director

First Names Group has appointed of Matt Haynes as the Group Business Development Director.

In this new role, Mr Haynes will be based in the Jersey office and responsible for supporting the growth of the group.

He will develop key client and intermediary initiatives in addition to new business opportunities across the group’s 14 locations - and he will also oversee the group business development team, reporting to commercial director Kevin O’Connell.

He joins the group from Hawksford where he was the Director of Business Development and responsible for driving the company’s business development activity and playing an active role in the development of relationships with both clients and intermediaries. Prior to this he held senior business development roles at Ogier and Barclays Wealth Structuring.

Mr O’Connell said: “I would like to welcome Matt to the Group. I am sure he will be a great asset to the team, his experience and broad skills set will be instrumental in the continued growth of the businesses. As a group, we have grown substantially in the last two years and we have reached the point where we are now in the desired locations across the world and are focussing on consolidating and growing the business organically and I cannot think of a better choice than Matt to help us achieve this.”
