The Foreshore Manager of Service Delivery and Information Security, Davey Sandiford, has qualified as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional - the global standard for information security professionals.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience working in information security before they are allowed to sit the six hour exam which covers ten IT security domains.
“This is a fantastic achievement for Davey, who will be able to apply his learning in our data centre and cloud environment, ensuring that Foreshore’s security standards are maintained at the highest levels. I’m sure that this extra proof of learning and experience will only increase the already high levels of confidence that clients have
when entrusting their data and information systems to Foreshore,” said Graham Hughes Chief Executive for Sure Jersey.
Mr Sandiford joins Derek Fage and Justin Bellinger as a qualified Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in the Foreshore and Sure teams with this new qualification complementing Davey’s existing ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification. Davey’s enormous depth of experience and qualifications put Foreshore in an excellent position as they approach their ISO 27001 reassessment period.
“We have a superb team here at Foreshore and my accreditation as a CISSP only serves to strengthen the skills that we have at our disposal. I’m looking forward to working with our clients and helping them make the most of my learning in the design and architecture of their security environments," Mr Sandiford said.
