The Government’s HR team has jointly won a national award for its covid-19 response.
Alongside Transport for London, they scooped the prize for ‘Best Crisis Management Strategy’ at the HR Excellence Awards held in London earlier this month.
Chief Minister Senator John Le Fondré said: “The work behind the scenes across Government was intensive but very successful in meeting the objectives set out by the States Assembly and the Competent Authorities. For example, I saw first-hand how much had to be done to reconfigure the organisation to work from home. We also had to redeploy people to the covid-19 response while maintaining critical services.
“This national recognition, against tough competition, is a credit to the teams who worked tirelessly to reorganise services. We are very proud of them, and their commitment to the island.”
Mark Grimley, Group Director for People and Corporate Services, added: “The People and Corporate Services team hunkered down to support the response and it’s great to be recognised nationally for our work. I’m so proud of our people and how they rose to the challenge.”
