HLG appoints Environmental Consultant

Building management specialists HLG Associates has appointed a new Principal Environment and Sustainably Consultant.

Chartered Environmentalist Chris Bester, who has more than 10 years of experience in environmental management, will be assisting organisations audit their environmental footprint and advising on how to aid carbon reduction, with an emphasis on saving rather than increasing expenditure.

HLG director Jerry Willis commented: "We’re delighted to welcome Chris to our team. He brings such a range and depth of knowledge and expertise, alongside more than 10 years of practical experience in environmental management."

Mr Bester said: “There’s a perception that achieving environmental obligations leads to increased cost.

“Whereas with the right approach, environmental initiatives can help organisations save money in the longer term by implementing solutions with real world impacts. I’m looking forward to opportunities for meeting and discussing this with clients, as well as helping develop HLG into the island’s leading organisation on such matters.”
