The Intertrust 'Trophy Hunters' came out on top of a simulated stock trading exercise with a gain of over £300,000 in the 2017 Ashburton Investments’ Stock Market Challenge at the Hotel de France
The team from Intertrust, which included Phil Chambers, Ben Hamilton, Mark Lindsay, Guy Walton and Matt Gilbertson, beat 24 teams from across the Jersey and Guernsey finance industries.

It was a chance to be tested in a dynamic, albeit simulated, environment and evidently our individual skill sets came together on the night to make us a strong overall team. The Intertrust team had a strategy that focused on valuation and sustainable earnings, and it’s great to have bagged another trophy to add to the cabinet!”

The Ashburton Stock Market Challenge, which debuted in 2016, aims to demonstrate to its clients how markets react to global macro events and the challenges of managing risk-reward profiles whilst preserving capital.
