Channel Islands business leaders to discuss productivity

Tuesday 16 April 2024

Business leaders across Jersey and Guernsey are set to attend a breakfast event this week focussing on the theme of productivity enhancement.

Hosted by the Institute of Directors, the event will take place across both Channel Islands on Thursday 18 April.

Local business leaders will discuss the challenges faced by Channel Islands organisations

Jersey and Guernsey will communicate virtually to discuss how the office environment, corporate culture, mindset, workforce, wellbeing and technology integration all are necessary in boosting productivity.

The speakers will be Rory Inglis (Managing Director of POS interiors), Lindsay Hart (Sales & Marketing Director of NP Group), Paul Murphy (CEO of Jersey Business), and Dan Hare (Founder of Continuum).

Natasha Egré, IoD Jersey Chair, will be moderating the event.

She said: “So many elements from technology, to culture, to skills have a direct impact on the productivity of a business, which in turn drives the profitability, competitiveness and long-term viability of organisations.

"Through this combined event with IoD Guernsey, we hope to share ideas, and the expertise of our panel, to help support businesses in achieving sustainable efficiency.”

Glen Tonks, IoD Guernsey Chair, added: “The hybrid format of the event means we can still enjoy face-to-face networking time before technology takes over to bring the two events together for what I am sure will be a lively and interactive session.”
