A Jersey-based entrepreneur has launched a mentoring scheme to help women in business.
Founded by marketing strategist Kristin Morris, 'Join The Lift' aims to encourage established business leaders to provide pro-bono services or program scholarships to a small number of aspiring female business owners who would not otherwise be able to afford their services.
While the movement is starting with modest aims, Ms Morris says the goal is to eventually help secure funding for grants and business loans for female entrepreneurs, and to donate to organisations which support female entrepreneurs in third world countries.

Having seen so many talented and educated women disenfranchised from their careers due to having children, being paid less than their male counterparts, and becoming financially disempowered, Ms Morris said she became a passionate about the advancement of female entrepreneurship.
“I am thrilled to be launching 'Join The Lift', an idea I have been nurturing for several years," she explained.
"I remember how hard the early days of starting a business were for me and I feel so grateful to be in the position now to be able to help others."

"I would encourage other female entrepreneurs to reach back and help lift another woman from that period of struggle and uncertainty in early entrepreneurship," she said.
"My hope is that your actions will create a ripple effect for these women and their families and that they will go on to coach or mentor too to 'Join the Lift'.”
Applications to receive mentoring or become a coach can be made online.
