A Mourant partner has been appointed as Chair of the Jersey branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitiones (STEP).
Stephen Alexander succeeds Fiona MacFarlane in the role after he was elected by local members in a recent committee meeting.
“I’d like to thank Fiona for her time as chair and look forward to building on her legacy by continuing to drive value for our members, stage insightful events and provide a support network for practitioners across the industry," he said.
Mr Alexander is Head of Litigation at Mourant’s Jersey practice and has been advising the private client industry for over 13 years.
He described it as a “privilege” to be appointed, and went on to say: “I care deeply about our private client industry and volunteer for STEP so that I can play my part in assessing what the industry is doing well and less well and how it can be improved.”
