Jersey companies including Investec, JTC, Alex Picot Trust, Collas Crill, Standard Chartered and Standard Bank were all recognised at the inaugural Wealthbriefing Channel Islands Awards 2022.
Independently judged by teams of experts, the Wealthbriefing Channel Islands awards aimed to recognise “the brightest and best amongst the Channel Islands’ world-renowned wealth management professionals.”
At a ceremony held at the Grand Jersey Hotel and Spa, 36 awards were presented to 30 organisations.
Investec (Channel Islands) was awarded the best ‘Overall Private Bank’ award, following on from their success at the Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards where they also won Private Bank of the Year for the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
CEO Brendan Stewart said: "It's undoubtedly an honour to receive this award, which is testimony of course to the hard work and dedication of our teams across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man."
JTC was announced as ‘Trust Employer of the Year’ and also won the in the ‘Trust ESG Programme’ category. Wendy Holley, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer at JTC, said: “At JTC, we are committed to supporting our people and believe that we are stronger together... It is wonderful to see this recognised through receiving the award for ‘Trust Employer of the Year’."
The Alex Picot Trust was awarded ‘Leading Trust Professional’. Director Steve Gully said: "I am very pleased to share this success with the wider Alex Picot Trust team.”
Collas Crill was recognised as ‘Best Legal Team’ with Kellyann Ozouf, Collas Crill Partner, saying: "It is a privilege to have been recognised as 'Best Legal Team' in the inaugural WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards."
Standard Chartered was recognised as the winner in the 'Private Bank ESG Impact Investing Team' category.
CEO Henry Baye commented: "We’re very proud to win this award, showcasing how we serve our clients from Jersey... Well done to the team!”
Standard Bank was awarded the 'Institutional' and 'Thought Leadership' accolades in the Trust Company Category.
