Jersey Hemp is ramping up its efforts to become a leader in the £300m UK market, presenting at the first ever trade show dedicated to the CBD industry this weekend.
In addition to presenting products, Jersey Hemp's Chief Science Officer, Chris Callaghan, will be speaking among other industry experts at the inaugural Hemp and CBD Expo at the Birmingham NEC.
The homegrown company is looking to bolster its brand and make a name for Jersey after last year becoming the first in the British Isles to be granted a licence for the commercial harvesting of hemp.
The exhibition, which features exhibitors from every step of the wholesale and retail supply chain, as well as the European Industrial Hemp Association, the Cannabis Trades Association UK and the British Hemp Association, is therefore a "major event" for Jersey Hemp, which will be showcasing its Premium Full Spectrum CBD Oil.
The product is the first British-grown and extracted CBD.

It is estimated that CBD product sales in the UK, which are currently at £300 million, will reach £1bn by 2025 and Jersey Hemp say they are at the forefront of this push, selling British grown CBD products and competing with global producers.
"We are passionate about what we do and are the leading hemp and CBD producers in the British Isles," Jersey Hemp, CEO David Ryan, said. "We have a team of dedicated scientists, researchers, agricultural experts and environmentalists, so when you shop with us, you can trust that you are buying natural products. At Jersey Hemp, we use stringent third-party testing and analysis, which means our customers have a guarantee of quality and purity on the products they buy.”
The news of Jersey Hemp's attendance to the expo comes a couple of months after a £2m boost from Foresight Chairman and Founder Bernard Fairman, as well as other "professional" investors.
