A Jersey-based corporate lawyer is one of six employees to be recently promoted to partnership level at Carey Olsen.
Nienke Malan – who works in the corporate arm of the firm's Jersey office – was promoted alongside five other employees from Carey Olsen's Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Guernsey offices.
This bring the total number of partners across the Carey Olsen group to 84.

Ms Malan joined Carey Olsen in 2016.
She is a Jersey qualified advocate and her practice includes advising on the establishment, structuring, regulation and launch of investment funds, negotiating and drafting a broad range of commercial agreements and advising on the sale and financing of structures holding international real estate.
Ms Malan advises on the full spectrum of generalist funds and sector funds and has worked with significant local and international fund managers, real estate investors and financial institutions in South Africa, New York and Jersey.
