Law firm helps make virtual reality a reality for local company

Collas Crill's UK real estate team has been helping a local company realise their virtual reality dreams.

The law firm has been acting for Vizuality Studios UK Limited, a company based in Jersey, helping them open the first of a new chain of studios.

The company's first studio opened earlier this month in Liverpool and they are now looking to open another in Culver City, California - home of MGM Studios.

Available to hire by the hour, the premises will use Vizuality's cutting-edge wireless technology, a concept which will be rolled-out across cities worldwide.

The studios will combine the latest virtual and augmented reality technologies, offering various platforms that are suitable for professional architects, education and therapy as well as taking gaming to a brand new level of immersion.

The Collas Crill team included group partner Michael Morris who advised in relation to the premises.

Mr Morris said: "As technology continues to expand at such a rapid pace there is huge scope in the market for virtual reality. It was a great opportunity to work with Vizuality, enabling the firm to showcase its technological capabilities and bring them to a public audience."

Vizuality's chairman John Bacon said: "It's been an exciting few months in preparation for this launch. It also confirms our commitment to open a string of studios around the world, starting in the wonderful city of Liverpool.

"It was a pleasure to deal with Michael Morris, based in the Channel Islands, not just because of the fact that it was easy to access first class advice on our doorstep, but also the consummate professionalism shown by Michael and the Collas Crill UK real estate team."
