The Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards has shortlisted seven local law firms in the Law Firm of the Year, Jersey category
The shortlisted firms are: Bedell Cristin, Carey Olsen, Collas Crill, Hanson Renouf, Mourant Ozannes, Ogier Legal and Walkers.
Now in their fourth year, the awards were established to highlight the excellence of the advisors and managers in the private wealth sector in the major international financial centres.
Hanson Renouf is the smallest, and only solely Jersey-based firm, to make the shortlist.
Advocate Timothy Hanson said "Hanson Renouf has recruited carefully over the last nine years and we are pleased to have developed a distinct ethos. We obviously try to give our clients the best service possible but we are also prepared to put our heads high above the parapet to speak out about unfairness and about where reform could make a difference to people caught up in the legal system generally. We act for institutions and wealthy individuals but also make the time to stick up for more vulnerable members of society. This determination has contributed to the modernisation of The Law Society of Jersey over a period of only two years."
Voting for all the Citywealth awards can be made online through the Citywealth website by 7 November. The awards will be announced in the new year.
