PwC has added to its leadership team by appointing Director David Carney, who will play a vital role in the Channel Islands market.
Mr Carney, an expert in financial systems, controls assurance and data analytics, joined PwC UK in 2006, where he led the data assurance team for PwC across the South and East region. He relocated to Jersey in 2013 as part of the local firm’s continued investment in its risk assurance practice, which he leads across the Islands.
He brings a breadth of experience across a broad range of clients and industries from his roots as a Chartered Accountant and subsequently spending 16 years specialising in the areas of technology assurance and information security, controls assurance, internal audit and data analytics. Mr Carney is highly skilled in dealing with such challenges as those currently faced by the Channel Islands and its industries, particularly across the financial services and digital sectors.
PwC has further strengthened its leadership team In Guernsey, with a new Partner, Roland Mills.
Mr Mills has been with the network for 17 years, relocating from PwC in Pretoria to Guernsey in 2001. He has a personal focus on the private equity and alternatives fund sector in particular, and leads PwC’s global Private Equity industry IFRS accounting focus group.
