Local law firms Bedell Cristin, Corbett Le Quesne and Collas Crill have been shortlisted for awards aiming to recognise excellence among advisers and managers in the private wealth sector across the major international financial centres.
Bedell Cristin’s Jersey office has been shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year in the Citywealth IFC Awards, and Corbett le Quesne for Boutique Law Firm of the Year.
In addition, Bedell Cristin's Partner Nancy Chien has been shortlisted in the Lawyer of the Year in the Channel Islands category, while Managing Partner David Cadin is shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year in Litigation.
“We are proud of the hard work, dedication and expertise of our team across all of our jurisdictions,” Mr Cadin said. “Our lawyers pride themselves on delivering the best possible service and results for our clients, and to be shortlisted six times is great recognition of this.”
Corbett Le Quesne's Senior Partner Barbara Corbett is shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
She commented: “We are really pleased to have been shortlisted in these two categories. The Citywealth IFC Awards have really gained momentum in the last few years, and to be included in two such substantial categories is wonderful. We are especially excited to be nominated in the Boutique Law Firm category, which we were runners-up in last year. We are hoping this will be our year!”
Collas Crill also featured on the awards shortlist, with four nominations. The Jersey and Guernsey offices made the list for 'Firm of the Year'.
Kellyann Ozouf, partner and head of the international private client and trusts team, was shortlisted for 'Lawyer of the Year - Channel Islands and Isle of Man', while Nuno Santos-Costa, managing partner of Collas Crill's Jersey office, was been shortlisted for 'Lawyer of the Year – Litigation'.
Group Managing Partner of Collas Crill, Jason Romer, said: "I am thrilled that both of our Channel Island teams have been shortlisted for the IFC awards. This is a real testament to their hard work and dedication. My congratulations also go to Kellyann and Nuno, who continue to achieve excellence in their fields."
The shortlist, which is available online is based on submissions, judges’ recommendations and editorial research. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in January.
