A number of local CEOs, directors and lawyers were among the women recognised as part of the seventh annual Citywealth Powerwomen Awards.
The awards aim to champion women in the wealth sector and highlight the female leaders of today and tomorrow.
Ocorian was among the big winners on the night, walking away with five trophies, including three golds.
Ocorian CEO Farah Ballands scooped up two awards – Gold in the Woman of the Year, Leadership, Financial Organisation (CEO, Board Member) category, and Silver in Woman of the Year, Business Growth (Large, Institutional).

Lisa Mclauchlan, Group Business Development Director, also picked up Gold in the Woman of the Year, Business Services (Large, Institutional) category, while Michelle Tring, Trust Director, received a Bronze award in Woman of the Year, Future Leaders (Partner, Director).
Ocorian as a business also claimed gold in the Best Employer, Career Progression category.
“We wholeheartedly endorse the principles behind the Powerwomen Awards and as a newly merged business will continue to champion women in the workplace,' Ms Ballands said. "Whilst my colleagues and I are honoured to be recognised by our peers, it was especially thrilling for Ocorian to pick up an award for the work it puts into advancing women’s careers.”

Louise Bracken-Smith, CEO of Fairway Group, won gold for Woman of the Year, Business Growth (mid-size).
“I was surprised but delighted to hear my name read out from a category of such amazing talent," she said.
“The event shows the level of female talent in Jersey and international finance at the moment. We’ve very proud of our record of diversity and inclusion at Fairway Group and this award is a testament to that as we continue to grow.”

Mourant took home two Silver awards. One went to Counsel Catherine Moore, and the other to Associate Roisin Cullinane in the 'Woman of the Year - Rising Star' and the 'Woman of the Year - Future Leaders (Associate, VP)' categories respectively.

The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) picked up the Silver award for 'Company of the Year Female Leadership' for Government, Regulatory and Non-Profit Organisations, while Director of Supervision, Jill Britton, won the 'Citywealth Powerwoman of the Year 2020' award in the same category.
“I am shocked and absolutely thrilled to have won," Ms Britton said.
"Some incredibly talented women, who I hold in very high regard, were shortlisted in my category, so it is a huge honour to win. It’s also fantastic that the JFSC has been recognised for its female leadership. We are making significant strides and have a strong female representation in our senior management team.”

Ogier’s Director of Marketing, Kate Kirk, also struck Gold in the 'Woman of the Year – Business Services' category for the second time following her win in 2017.
"Kate is truly a leader in her field, which is demonstrated not only through Ogier's award-winning brand, marketing and communications, but also through her outstanding leadership of her team," Global Managing Partner Edward Mackereth said. "In light of International Women's Day and Women's History Month, it's particularly fitting to shine a light on the talented women we are lucky to work alongside at Ogier."
Jersey Finance's Head of Legal and Technical, Lisa Springate, was named 'Woman of the Year (Silver)'.

Jersey Finance as a whole, meanwhile, won gold in the 'Company of the Year - Female Leadership' category.
Ms Springate commented: “I’m thrilled to have received this award again, but most importantly, so proud of everyone at Jersey Finance for ensuring we’re setting a good example and supporting women at all levels. I hope that these awards will continue to inspire women across the industry and I thank all who voted for myself and Jersey Finance, the judges and Karen Jones and the team at Citywealth.”
Quilter Cheviot's Allie McMahon picked up the a bronze in the 'Woman of the Year - Business Services' category.
Collas Crill Partner Kellyann Ozouf was crowned gold winner of 'Woman of the Year - Professional Services'.
She described the accolade as a "real honour".

Crestbridge received double recognition, taking home a bronze in the ‘Company of the Year – Creating Change for Women’ category while Heather Tibbo, Group Head of Family Office Services, was presented with a Silver award in the ‘Woman of the Year – Leadership in a Financial Organisation (Managing Director)’ category.
Ms Tibbo, who has been recognised by the awards for the third year in a row, said: "It’s hugely pleasing personally to be named in this list again, but more importantly, our inclusion as a firm is a reflection of the fantastic team we have at Crestbridge and the importance we attach as a firm to maintaining and celebrating a truly diverse workforce.”
