The staff at New Era Medical Centre have been named as the best in the island for customer service.
The Bath Street-based practice took home the award for 'Best Service from a Team' at the 2019 Sure Customer Service Awards on Monday, where it was also crowned 'Overall Winner'.
Part of the Channel Islands Cooperative Society, the team were selected by the judges as overall winners due to the quality of feedback provided by their customers.
“It is always pleasing to receive recognition for the good work our colleagues do, however awards like the Jersey Customer Service Awards really do mean so much as it’s our customers recognising our colleagues for the great service they provide," commented Mark Cox, Acting CEO of the Cooperative Society.
"The Society are very proud of the team at New Era Medical Centre who deserve the recognition for the high standard of service and care they provide our members and customers every day.”
This year's awards saw record numbers of customers and business get involved. Jill Clark, coordinator of the event, said a real positive of the awards is that customers take the time to share feedback on how businesses have gone the extra mile and delivered "exceptional service".
"The feedback not only lets them know they are doing a great job, but also how things can be improved – so that service just gets better and better," she explained.
"That will be a positive move for everyone in Jersey – tourists and locals alike. It is clear from the number of entries for this year’s awards that both customers and businesses take customer service very seriously and understand that great customer experience is essential."
Other winners at the awards included Hotel Cristina and Beresford Street Kitchen, who picked up the award for 'Best Service from Accommodation' and 'Best Service from Food and Drink' respectively, for the second year in a row.
