NatWest International has appointed an experienced Relationship Director to strengthen its corporate and commercial team.
Michael Mills, who has been a Relationship Director for six years, has moved to Jersey from the UK and is responsible for managing a portfolio of leading Trading and Real Estate Finance customers.
During an 18-year career with the bank in the South-West of England, Mr Mills gained experience in client relationship management, debt restructuring and underwriting, before his appointment as a Relationship Director.
Prior to that, he spent time in corporate portfolio management and as an underwriter in the Commercial Credit team.
Mr Mills commented: "I am looking forward to building new relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders within the local market.
"The challenges I am currently hearing from customers include supply chain pressures, inflation and staffing. Managing and adapting in light of those challenges is important as my customers also see significant opportunities as we come out of lockdown restrictions. My challenge is to enable businesses to realise their aims and opportunities."
Paul Jones, Head of Corporate and Commercial, RBS International, added: "[Mr Mills'] skills in developing client relationships coupled with his commercial experience will add appreciably to the strength in depth that we offer our clients."
