Thursday 13 September 2018

An advocate specialised in family and criminal law matters has joined BCR Law to add to their personal law offering.

Advocate Alison Brown will work alongside Emma Wakeling, Head of Family Law, as well as with criminal law specialists, Advocate Adam Harrison and lawyer Joanna Gardiner.

Advocate Brown trained as an English Solicitor in York, qualifying in 1981. She then practised law in Yorkshire before moving to Jersey in 2004. She was called to the Jersey Bar in November 2016.

As an accredited Family Mediator, Mrs Brown is trained in direct consultation with children and also has experience in employment and personal injury law issues.

David Benest, Managing Partner, said: “I am very pleased that Alison has joined BCR Law. She brings further skill and experience to our family and criminal law teams and will be able to assist our valued private clients across a range of different matters, according to their individual needs.”

Advocate Brown added: “I am delighted to be joining a growing firm that places advocacy at the heart of its practice. I’m looking forward to working with new colleagues and clients and continuing to represent clients within the Family Division, the Magistrates Court and The Royal Court.”
