Standard Bank Wealth and Investment has established a relationship with Stanley Gibbons to provide access to a series of exclusive portfolio plans for discerning investors keen to benefit from the growth and stability of the alternative investments market.

The Stanley Gibbons Group plc is the world’s leading rare stamp and prestige collectibles merchant.

The Channel Islands-based company has held the Royal Warrant as philatelists since 1914 and serves collectors and investors all over the world from its offices in the Channel Islands, London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The new association offers Standard Bank Wealth and Investment clients a series of Stanley Gibbons portfolio plans and exclusive access to the experienced team at Stanley Gibbons to guide them through investing in the specialist market of rare stamps, coins and other prestige collectibles.

Deon de Klerk, Head of Standard Bank Wealth and Investment, Africa and International, said: “Our priority is to our clients and understanding what really matters to them. While we have real in-house expertise in the more traditional asset classes which continue to be at the core of their portfolios, we can’t ignore the fact that our clients are also interested in alternatives and luxury investments. To smoothly navigate the growing market for alternative assets, it’s best to have a trusted guide, and in Stanley Gibbons we have an association that is the undisputed market leader in this area. We’re very pleased to now offer exclusive portfolio plans which include options that are not only designed for investors but also those who are buying simply for enjoyment.”

Keith Heddle,
Managing Director,
Stanley Gibbons Investment said: “We are pleased to partner with Standard Bank Wealth and Investment to open up the option of tangible alternative investments for its clients. Our plans are ideal for those prepared to invest for the medium to long term, and who have a genuine interest in alternative and luxury investments which offer a safe haven for their capital, with a good chance for capital growth.”
