La Mare Wine Estate has appointed Marcin Ciechomski as Head Chef to lead its catering operation including events, weddings and the Estate Café.
Mr Ciechomski previously held the same position in a local luxury hotel, where he worked for twelve years, a time during which the hotel achieved the 3 AA Rosette standard.
As Head Chef at La Mare, he will be responsible for the diary of wedding ceremonies, corporate events and private parties taking place in the new function room at the St. Mary Estate.
He will also be in charge of catering for the Vineyard Café and is already looking forward to putting some fresh ideas on the menu.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Ciechomski said: "I’m really excited to be joining the team at La Mare. I take great pride in preparing and cooking dishes using good quality, seasonal local produce which fortunately, we are never short of here in Jersey.
“La Mare’s award-winning home-made products are really fantastic and I’m looking forward to incorporating these into this season’s menu.”
La Mare’s Managing Director Tim Crowley added: “We’re delighted to welcome Marcin to La Mare. His extensive experience will really enhance our customer experience.”
