Jersey Sport has appointed four new Directors with a broad range of skills to its board.
The new appointees include Dr Chris Edmond, Medical Director and Founder of WorkHealth (CI) Ltd who brings with him health, wellbeing and medical experience; and Claudine Snape, CEO of Dementia Jersey, who brings with her marketing, charitable and fundraising experience.
Martin Holmes, Executive Director of Garenne Group Ltd, with a background in facility development and management experience and Lisa McLauchlan, Chief Revenue Officer at Ocorian, experienced in strategy development and implementation, have also joined the board.
These new appointees will replace Jean Cross and Tony Taylor, who have served on the Board since Jersey Sport was formed in June 2017, and Sarah Madel who stepped down in July this year, having been appointed in November 2017.
“I am extremely pleased with these new appointments," Phil Austin MBE, Chairman of Jersey Sport said. "Jersey Sport is now over five years old, and from a governance perspective, it made good sense to refresh the Board at this time, as we move into the next phase of the company’s development.
"At the same time, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Jean and Tony who both played significant roles in the formation and development of Jersey Sport, and to Sarah for her contribution.”
