A new legal advisory firm, Amati Law, has opened headed by Advocate James Mews.
With offices in Cattle Street, the firm will provide a full financial services offering to clients including Regulatory, Private Client, Corporate Commercial, Banking and Finance advice for business and organisations.

Advocate Mews is also an Advisor to the Jersey Deposit Compensation Scheme Board and has represented the Board on international matters including the International Association of Deposit Insurers. He previously led a team of lawyers in the Chief Minister's Department as the Director, Finance Industry Development. Prior to that, he was Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division of the Jersey Financial Services Commission advising on regulatory matters.
Simon Walker brings significant legal experience in roles across the areas of litigation, corporate and commercial law, and private client.
Kate Hamilton (pictured above) has also joined the firm to undertake a range of commercial property, corporate, commercial, trust and fund matters. With almost 20 years of legal practice experience, she has established and led a new residential property team, as well as gaining several years’ experience in corporate commercial, trust and charities legal work.
