New head of Customer Service Awards announced

Wednesday 04 October 2017

Customer service consultant Jill Clark is to take over the Guernsey and Jersey Customer Service Awards.

Ms Clark will replace Julie Todd, who has organised the Customer Service Awards for the last seven years, from mid-October.

Ms Clark was previously director of customer service at Specsavers, which involved improving all areas of the customer experience in store.

She said: "Being a born and bred customer service fanatic, working for Specsavers and focusing on making our customers truly happy was a job I loved. The real challenge was helping all colleagues in all stores to deliver brilliant service to the same high level all day and every day. It is exciting to be taking on the Customer Service Awards – service is my passion and I believe the awards give brilliant teams and individuals the recognition they deserve – and helps inspire others to improve the experience they give their customers. I am thrilled to be heading up such a robust and popular part of the Islands’ annual events diaries, with such wonderful support from local business sponsors.”

In addition to taking up the new role, Ms Clark is also a customer service consultant and lecturer at the Guernsey Training Agency and College of Further Education. She also speaks at customer service events and seminars.

Charlotte Dunsterville, partnering sponsor Sure’s chief customer officer, added:  “Sure has enjoyed a long relationship with the Customer Service Awards and we’re excited to continue our work with them with Jill at the helm. The awards have gone from strength-to-strength in recent years and the future looks bright. We’d like to thank Julie for all her hard work, dedication and enthusiasm over the past few years; she’s been a pleasure to work with and we’re all eagerly awaiting the awards evening in Jersey on 5 October.”
