RAW Capital Partners has appointed a new Head of People to lead its initiatives for talent acquisition, employee development and organisational culture.
The Guernsey-based lender has appointed organisational psychologist Dr Kate Gibson, who joins from Channel Islands management consultancy CBO, where she specialised in organisational change.
Dr Gibson, who has an MSc in Organisational Psychology, and a PhD in Immunobiology, Kate enjoys applying her academic rigour to the business environment, enters her new role having previously spent eight years in London at global investment manager Orbis, after which she became a consultant at Potential Plus UK, setting up the London centre and undertaking psychological assessments of children with high learning potential.
She then served as a visiting scholar within the City University of London’s Department of Psychology, co-authoring a research paper on gender differences in children. She relocated to Guernsey in 2018, where she worked as an assistant clinical psychologist for the States of Guernsey before joining CBO.
RAW Capital Partners is her latest career venture and the company is growing rapidly, having doubled in size in 2023, to employ over 40 members of staff in Guernsey, Southampton, and London.
