Gary Tumelty and Peter Brown will become the company's new co-owners and lead the mortgage broker alongside its sister company, Henley Financial, aiming to “build upon the strong foundation laid by Peter Seymour”.

Mr Tumelty, Director of The Mortgage Shop, and Mr Brown, Director and Head of Financial Services at Henley Financial, bring extensive experience in financial services, and “will continue to focus on delivering outstanding mortgage brokerage services”. 

The company said Henley Financial “complements these services with its financial planning expertise, including financial protection, investment, and retirement planning advice”. 

“Peter has built an incredible business with a reputation for trust, reliability, and a deep commitment to the Jersey community,” said Mr Tumelty. 

“As joint owners, Peter Brown and I are excited to continue this legacy while leveraging the strengths of both companies to provide even greater value to our clients.” 

Mr Brown added: “Our combined leadership across The Mortgage Shop and Henley Financial allows us to offer a more integrated approach to financial services in Jersey. 

“Together, we are uniquely positioned to guide our clients through all aspects of their financial journeys, from securing mortgages to comprehensive financial planning.”
