New networking body gets going

Monday 10 November 2014

A new business networking organisation is being set up launched later this month and the founders want its activities to benefit local charities.

Network Jersey is as a not-for-profit organisation founded by Andy Ozouf and Lindsay Wright who say it will provide opportunities for business and social networking in a friendly, social environment, with no agenda, upfront cost or commitment to membership.

The inaugural event, which is sponsored by Airtel-Vodafone, will be held on Thursday 20 November at the Jersey Museum, starting at 5.30 pm. Martin Bralsford will be the guest speaker. He will be quizzed about his career and a range of other subjects, including how he sees Jersey's future, by former JEP journalist Harry McRandle.

Every second month Network Jersey will conduct a similar informal question and answer session with a prominent well known individual, interspersing these every other month with more informal networking events at various top class venues. From time to time these gatherings will feature key figures from the worlds of entertainment, sports, technology and the arts.

Mr Ozouf, who runs Ozouf Marketing and Advertising said: “We will stage events that allow people to have an uninterrupted full day at work and yet still manage to do some networking in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to constructively end their day.”
