Seymour Law LLP has appointed a non-contentious Jersey trusts lawyer to Partner.
Advocate Paul Matthams is a notary public and co-author of the leading volume ‘Drafting Trusts and Will Trusts in the Channel Islands’with James Kessler QC.
He joins from Stonehage Fleming, where he was a partner in its Family Office division.
Prior to this, he was a partner at Carey Olsen for almost 20 years.
In his new role, Mr Matthams will continue to advise individuals and institutions on trust, estate planning and pension law matters. In addition to his legal practice, Paul remains a long-standing member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Ecclesiastical Law Society. He is also the Proctor Substitute of the Ecclesiastical Court of Jersey.
