Local law firm Mourant has appointed three new Partners in Jersey.
Alex Henderson, who has previously been recognised as a Rising Star by both Legal 500 and IFLR1000, is a funds lawyer with particular expertise in private equity and real estate investment structures. The new Partner spent seven years working in top-tier investment funds practices of London law firms SJ Berwin and Goodwin before joining Mourant.
Katie Hooper, who practised at the Bar of England and Wales from 2009 to 2012 and 2017 to 2019, and is a key member of Mourant's Jersey Litigation team. She has previously recognised as a Rising Star by Legal 500 and named as one of eprivateclient's Top 35 Under 35 and by Citywealth in their Future Top 100 List for 2020.
Mike Jones joined Mourant last year from the Jersey Financial Services Commission, where he was Director of Policy and Risk, to launch and lead Mourant Consulting, the firm's new regulatory consulting business. He has more than two decades' regulatory experience including working at Deloitte in London, the Australian Financial Services regulator and Crestbridge in Jersey.

The firm has also appointed five partners across its global business: James Broad, Jessica Lee, Michael Popkin and Paul Trewartha are in Hong Kong and Jonathan Moffatt is based in the Cayman Islands.
