Oben has appointed a former JFSC supervision and enforcement specialist as its new Associate Director.
During his time in Supervision, Paul Le Marrec led on-site examinations at a number of Funds and Fund Services Businesses.
This resulted in his involvement in heightened supervision and liaising with Enforcement colleagues and other regulatory and law enforcement agencies in relation to a number of cases, including a number of distressed property funds.
He is also a chartered accountant.
Open Regulatory Director Nicola Ingram said: “In recent years Paul supervised a variety of entities including funds, fund services businesses, investment businesses and trust company businesses.
“This provides the team with a breadth of industry insight and will assist our clients with ensuring continued compliance with the legal and regulatory framework.
“We are delighted that Paul has joined us to further strengthen our growing team and we look forward to working with him.”
