Ocorian has appointed Stuart Geddes as its new Chief Information Officer.
The company said that the creation of the CIO role is the consequence of its growing focus on digital transformation.
As CIO, Jersey-based Mr Geddes, who has been with Ocorian since 2016, will have responsibility for IT and digital requirements across the group.
He has previously worked in technology delivery for financial and professional services firms in London, Sydney and the Cayman Islands.
Carole Murphy, Ocorian’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Stuart is a lynchpin of our business and I am extremely happy that he has received promotion to CIO. Clients’ expectations have shifted dramatically in recent years, especially in relation to technology and it is essential we constantly evolve our practices and systems to meet those needs as our business continues to undergo significant growth and digital transformation.
"Additionally, as a critical member of Ocorian’s Infosec committee, Stuart ensures that Ocorian sets the highest standards for information security and protection of our assets and data.”
Mr Geddes added: “I’m proud to continue to lead our global technology team as CIO. We have a fantastic team who are committed to our continuous development and the improvement of our technology offering as we continue to grow and take on new clients.
"With so much rapid change in the technology space in recent years, it’s an exciting time to be leading our technology function as we see what unfolds in the years ahead in the automation and AI space.”
