Mourant Ozannes has been recognised in the category of best law firm for offshore work in the China Business Law Awards.

Organised by the China Business Law Journal, the awards are described as "a celebration of the most innovative and sophisticated legal work undertaken in China in the past year". The recognition followed an extensive consultation exercise undertaken by a panel, including client interviews and careful consideration of the achievements in relation to landmark deals, cases and the successes of each firm.

Mourant Ozannes' global Managing Partner, Jonathan Rigby, said he was delighted and very proud for the firm to have won this award and in such a highly competitive market.

“The recognition from our clients is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the Mourant Ozannes team in Hong Kong," he said.

Based in Hong Kong, the China Business Law Journal is published ten times a year. The journal's editorial team includes China-focused professionals with more than 40 years combined experience in leading media groups.

Mourant Ozannes' Hong Kong managing partner, Paul Christopher said: "To have been nominated for this award is a privilege, but knowing that our position as one of the best law firms was down to feedback from the people who work most closely with us, our clients, makes the achievement even more important."
