Islanders with an interest in starting or progressing in a nursing career specialising in palliative care are invited to attend an open day this weekend.
Jersey Hospice Care is hosting a drop-in event this Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Kings Centre on Mont Cochon, St Helier.
Those who attend will be able to receive a tour of the hospice, talk to nurses and healthcare assistants currently employed there, and learn about training, support, and benefits, as well as enjoying some tea and cake.
The charity is currently recruiting for staff nurses, healthcare assistants, chefs, administrators, and fundraising assistants – and is therefore inviting all who are interested in working for them, in any role, to attend and find out more.
Members of the People and Education teams will also be on hand for a chat and to answer questions.
Debbie Patrick, Director of People at Jersey Hospice Care said: "This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a career in palliative care to come and chat to us.
"Work at Jersey Hospice Care is extremely rewarding and purposeful no matter what your role and we welcome anyone who has similar values to us to come and find out more."
Those looking to attend are advised to register here to allow staff to manage numbers for the day and follow up with interested parties.
