Ownership changes at Gaudin and Co

Residential and commercial estate agents Gaudin and Co have announced changes to their ownership following the retirement of a stalwart of the business.

Nick Jewell is acquiring the shareholding of Jane Power, who is stepping down after 27 years.

Mr Jewell joins Gaudin and Co, which has been locally owned since 1935, following a long career in Government. Most recently, he was Head of Governance and Resource Management within the Children, Young People, Education and Skills Department.

"I am delighted that Nick has joined us. His experience in risk and compliance, property and contract management, landlord/tenant agreements and health and safety make him the perfect person to join our team," said Partner Bradley Vowden, who joined the business in 2006.

"We are already seeing the benefit of his expertise, focus on developing our team and client service. This is a very exciting time and I am looking forward to what the future brings as we continue to develop and differentiate our business in the local market place."

Mr Jewell added: "This is a really exciting opportunity and very different environment for me after 34 years of working for the Government. I'm very much enjoying applying transferable skills, learning new ones and working with the great team at Gaudin."
