The Channel Islands body for people in the project profession is holding a ‘Meet the Committee’ event in Jersey and Guernsey.
The Association for Project Management (APM) is a registered educational charity and the only chartered body for the project profession.
Following a visit by APM’s Chief Executive Officer in March, the APM Channel Islands committee have organised informal networking events on Thursday 9 June to bring together project professionals, industry, political, civil service, and education leaders to meet the committee members and discuss raising the standard and profile of project management in the Channel Islands.
Attendees will be able to speak to local committee members to understand APM priorities and actions underway in Guernsey and Jersey.
A short five to 10 minute update will be provided where we update attendees on:
Who are the APM?
The local committee and ways to get involved
Cross-sector collaboration opportunities
Local project management apprenticeships
Qualifications, training, and accreditation
APM membership
“We are delighted to welcome anyone interested in the project profession to these two informal events,” Ed Mason-Smith, Acting Chair APM in the Channel Islands, said.
“This is an opportunity to speak to the local APM committee members, find out more about the APM, and most important for us continue to build the channel island project management community.”
Jersey’s event will be at 17:15 at the Pomme d’Or Hotel, La Petite Pomme Room.
Guernsey’s event will start at 17:15 at the Old Government House, Crown Club Terrace and Conservatory.
